Two wooden dolls are having sex on a sandpaper.
By constant change of the positions they sand themselves off by rubbing the floor.
The mood varies between wrestling and amorous play.
Finally the love act turns into a race against time.


Zwei Holzpuppen liefern sich auf einem Schleifpapier eine heisse Nummer.
Durch konstanten Wechsel der Stellungen schleifen sie sich dabei am Boden
gegenseitig immer mehr ab.
Die Stimmung schwankt zwischen Ringkampf und Liebesspiel.
Der Liebesakt wird zum Rennen gegen die Schleifmaschine Zeit.

Luis ist tot. Bernadette leidet unter Schlaflosigkeit. Das Schattenspiel, vom gegenüberliegenden Häuserblock auf die Fassade von Bernadettes Wohnhaus geworfen, lenkt ihn von seiner Absicht ab, Bernadette die ersehnten Schlafpillen zu bringen.
Ein Film über die unumgängliche Schwierigkeit Abschied zu nehmen.

Luis is dead. Bernadette is suffering from insomnia. The shadows from the opposite block of houses playing on the front of Bernadette’s dwelling, distract him from his intention to bring her the desired sleeping pills. A Film about the inevitable difficulty to say farewell.

Une femme ne trouve plus le sommeil depuis que son mari est mort. Elle l’attend chaque nuit et lui, tente de lui porter un somnifère.

Two lovers are in a car. They are going on holiday, and it is a long drive. The windshield wipers set the rhythm.Their fantasies and daydreams lead them into life-threatening and love-threatening situations.

Ein Liebespaar fährt mit dem Auto in die Ferien. Die Fahrt ist lang. Der Scheibenwischer gibt den Takt an. In Fantasien und Tagträumen geraten sie in lebens- und liebesbedrohende Situationen.

This is the first project realized in collaboration with Joy Frempong, who composed
later the music for «Une Nuit Blanche» and «Amourette».
Many audio-visual collaborations followed such as the «Living Screen» in «Waiting in the Wings» 2007 Performancefestival in ARM (Artspace Rondeel Maastricht) or «Digestion is Music» a Sound-pict-performance during the «Deep Trash on the Spot» exhibition in the «Blaak 10» Gallery in Rotterdam.

This Project is about female mutilation. Joy Frempong developped this project during her stay at fabrica.
She asked me to do an animation for it. I collected drawings of female genitals drawn by family and friends and used them as rhythmical elements to support the piece.
